How my earrings would look like in 2000 years?

Our love for jewellery is not new...

Have a look what collections were wearing our "predecessor", almost 2000 years ago. Can you imagine what they looked like, what they were wearing?
Surely they look beautiful ... Certainly they were wealthy, because precious jewelry has always been a sign of a social status.
Jewelry in the pictures comes from the 1-3 century AD, mostly from Roman culture. There are a part of the exhibits of The Metropolitan Museum Of Art and can be (and many more) viewed on the website of the museum: http://www.metmuseum.org

I wonder if someday some archaeologist will uncover my earrings and mark it to "the beginning of the 21st century" :)
